I especially appreciate the well-roundedness of this program. Many different music styles are learned as well as chord charts and accompaniment. We are a family of string players and don’t have a pianist among us, so we are thrilled that from very early on our daughter could read basic chords and accompany us, learning how to listen and play with the group or soloist, not just lead out like so many pianists do.
We are so happy we chose the Simply Music program and have Beth as our teacher. Piano has given me an identity. Identity of accomplishment, freedom, exploration and friendship. Simply music allows me to explore my inner self. Playing piano can be challenging, but when you are able to play 40 songs from memory, you have accomplished something unbelievable. You are able to play just by sitting down at a piano without a book. You can play your favorite song or even a short song for a loved one or even a complete stranger. That is accomplishment. I am able to perform anywhere at any time, giving me the freedom to perform for anyone, even myself. Exploration is definitely a part of playing piano. Not just the kinds of music you play, but the way you play. You are able to explore different types of music each week, but most importantly, explore your own talent. I believe anyone can play a piano given the chance, especially with Simply Music.
The one important aspect of playing piano for me through the last year has been creating a friendship. Beth is an important part of playing the piano for me. She always gives me positive feedback, freedom to be creative, friendship, and helps me to explore my potential. Beth is more than a teacher; she is a role model.

Over the last three years while taking piano lessons from Beth Sheets, our son’s musical ability has grown dramatically. We have been continually amazed at the ease in which he learns the songs he has been assigned and commits them to his memory.
We love the way Beth teaches our son a basic song. Once that song has been mastered, then she will expand the song or incorporate the techniques into other songs using the Simply Music program. Our son is not just playing notes; he is playing music with feeling and confidence. He has also grown from being a very shy piano player to having the desire to play among his peers and for other groups of people.
